Groups Helping New Immigrants
Between the years 1903 and 1913 Canada had a huge mass of immigrants. 2 Between these years Canada got about 250 000 immigrants each years. This meant that when the war started many people who lived in Canada had close family ties in parts of the world that was involved in the war. This made politicains want to avoid going to war. 3 The ideal immigrant at this time was someone who came from Britain and who would settle in the West. 4 The West was where the majority of the immigrants went opening up many opertunites for industries. Many oppertunities is what brought many immigrants into Canada the top oppertunity for everyone was the chance at a better qaulity of life.
